Letchworth State Park: A Guide to “the Grand Canyon of the East” with Casita Dean May

Usually, you know, the waterfalls, and then you can get back into your car, drive a little bit more and then reaccess, uh, that gorge trail.
D
35:26Dean MayGUEST
And if you're a serious hiker, you've got the finger lakes trail that goes along the, the, what I call even less developed, more rugged Eastern rim of the park.
D
35:38Dean MayGUEST
So it's a 24 mile trail.
D
35:41Dean MayGUEST
So you got plenty there and it intersects, it's the Finger Lakes Trail, so it intersects with the Finger Lakes Trail System, which is probably, let me see, 580 miles of hiking that, well, it's 580 miles long, but if you count all the side trails on the Finger Lake Trail System, it's about a thousand miles.
D
36:04Dean MayGUEST
So if you want to do some serious hiking and use Letchworth as your base camp, You're not going to have any problems with that.
D
36:12Dean MayGUEST
But you can stay in the state park and you still got 66 miles of really cool hiking.
