Finchley

It's once they come together.

Now, we know they met before because I famously did that interview with Tyson Fury back in 2010 after he'd just sparred with a very young kid called Anthony Joshua at Finchley.

And it was that incredibly open interview from him.

And then we know they bumped into each other, I think, in Marbella.

So it's 2019.

I'm living in my uni house with George, Ben and Josh, right? And we live in Finchley, just around the corner from Finchley Park.

And one morning we're on the way to college.

And do you know what's so funny? I really remember that morning looking at my car going, Should we just drive today? Because it's only like a 5-10 minute drive max and I was feeling really lazy.

I remember looking at the car and being like, should we drive today? And then just went, nah, it'll be alright, we'll walk.

we've walked no more than a minute and a half we've crossed the road and we're on the corner of the road that finchley park road is on and this guy comes up to us and i can't remember what he says and like that like stops us bearing in mind let me set the scene i'm five foot seven george davis is six foot four right six foot four ben i think is like six So I'm the smallest one and I've got two absolute giants standing next to me in my eyes.

This guy comes up to us and he starts spouting some shit about how his brother has just been beaten up or something, right? And asking if we knew anything about it.

what at 22 yeah that was I probably see I didn't know this

yeah so and then he sent a bunch of beats and then my manager put me in a recording studio with a guy in I want to say Finchley but I can't remember exactly basically went there and recorded I've recorded like 15 songs for Muggs wow sent them back he was into them but obviously because I never really rapped on beats like that he needed some work and some attention and a bit of rewriting Stuff like that.

And I was just figuring out how to record, you know, what my voice sounded like on hip hop.

So yeah, went through all that.

Now, that change there was very significant to what happens next.

So from that, we left South London, and moved over to North London to Finchley.

Again, always look for the boxing club.

So got to Finchley.

I didn't go to the amateur club.

I went to St. Pancras, it's called St. Pancras Boys, ABC amateur club.

I've never boxed barefoot in my life.

It doesn't feel right.

April 15th, Sunday.

At three o'clock Cummings and Gowing called for a good long walk over Hampstead and Finchley, and brought with them a friend named Stillbrook.

We walked and chatted together except Stillbrook, who was always a few yards behind us staring at the ground and cutting at the grass with his stick.

As it was getting on for five, we four held a consultation, and Gowing suggested that we should make for the Cow and Hedge and get some tea.
