Yeah, the clock's ticking down on the Comerica name in Michigan.

The bank was purchased by Fifth Third Bank, and over Labor Day weekend, they intend to swap out the signs on most all of the branches that So all the Comerica Bank branches will become fifth-thirds.

It's really one of the last steps in this acquisition, which was almost $11 billion.

The deal closed way back in February.

So the footprint will be smaller locally.

Although the Fifth Third says it's treating Michigan as a second headquarters, wants Comerica customers to see the familiar faces at their branches.

One thing I found interesting, apparently when when Bank transitions like this happen, fraud attempts spike.

So if anyone calls you up to ask for your account number, that's always a good idea to hang up, but especially now.
