Final 24

Uh, Brew- Brewers up three games to zero, could clinch a trip to the World Series with a win tonight.

And we did do The Final 24 last night.

Uh, it's really good.

Really good.

The Final 24.

Yes.

I, I told you about this yesterday.

One of them is called Final 24, and it's 20 years old.

Okay.

It's a series, and it, uh, documents the last 24 hours of famous people's lives-

Oh

... before they died.

If you're curious about watching it, maybe we'll do, like, a little bonus episode recap on our thoughts.

There's an episode of a show called The Final 24, you can watch this on Tubi, where Anna Nicole's passing is described in interviews with people who were with her, but it's also being reenacted.

Like, there's some real footage, and there is also some acting.

This also includes a little bit of narration about her life story woven into the story of her passing.

And three hours before Anna Nicole is declared dead, Tasima goes into her room, and she describes the bedroom as absolutely chaotic.

Like, not just messy, but, like, a state of chaos.

In this episode of The Final 24, the medical examiner also speaks, and the medical examiner says that at this time, Anna Nicole was also taking chloral hydrate.

A prescription amount may have been one to two teaspoons.

At the Luxor, Tupac's fiancée, Carada, is chilling with his cousin, Jamala.

In the documentary, Tupac, The Final 24, Jamala recalls Tupac asking the ladies to remain in the hotel room.

He kept saying, please, he begged us, please don't go downstairs, please y'all

stay up here.

Theme song by Rick Wood.

For this episode, I sourced a number of books, including Got Your Back by Frank Alexander, The Killing of Tupac Shakur by Kathy Scott, Labyrinth by Randall Sullivan, and The Monster Within by SKG.

I sourced the documentary Sean Combs, The Reckoning, the documentary Tupac, Before I Wake, and the documentary Tupac, The Final 24 Hours.

I will have links to all of those things in the show notes if you want to check them out.

I would say the big materials that really informed my research, there's a Netflix documentary called Anna Nicole: You Don't Know Me.

There's a 20/20 episode on her life that was released in February of 2021, and there's also an episode about Anna Nicole on a show called The Final 24.

All of these, I think, have very different tones, and of course, there is so many tabloids, so many interviews.

We have a lot of information about Anna Nicole directly from her when she was alive.

It's filmed the summer of 2020, and they are going to different locations that were important to Anna Nicole, like her hometown, Los Angeles, et cetera, and they're meeting with people that were close to her.

And actually, speaking of the 20/20 episode, 20/20 made references in this 2021 episode to previous interviews they had had with Anna Nicole while she was alive, so there's a lot of really good, like, archival footage baked in.

The episode of that show, The Final 24, I was not familiar with this.

I found this on Tubi.
