Film criticism

We've got free movies I'm going to talk about this week.

Last couple of weeks, we haven't done movie reviews.

It's not because I haven't been watching movies.

It's just because I've been doing a lazy little shit and haven't told you about it.

So I got that coming.

And movie reviews with Andy Payne.

I think that you got the wrong impression about me.

I think in all fairness, I should explain to you exactly what it is that I do.

Today, I wanna share with you the top 10 biggest movie events of my life.

In the movie review, we'll be talking about one of my most anticipated scary movies of the season, Other Mommy, starring Jessica Chastain.

I don't rarely get freaked out by trailers, but this one got me.

It was a must-see for me.

So if you're on Facebook and you don't mind [laughs] following facebook.com/mikedestro, which is a weird thing to say in 2026, but I've tried to just post more clips over there and they're kinda popping off right now.

The Brad Pitt clip I posted from a couple of weeks ago doing the Heart of the Beast review is, like, one of my biggest [laughs] videos ever, oddly.

So for some reason you're still on Facebook, facebook.com/mikedestro or youtube.com/mikedestro to go watch full individual movie reviews.

But I'm going over to Instagram and shouting out Dorothy, who replied to a story I posted of the Doctor Doom popcorn bucket, which they just announced last week.

If you're looking for something fun here to do in the St. Louis area, he's running Doc Terminus' Odditorium at the City Museum.

Push- plus Joey D's Movie Review standby.

[upbeat music] We're talking TV, comics and movies and video games.

And if you don't know Star Trek from Star Wars, we'll try to explain.

There she goes.

City, uh, museum.org. We've got a link to that in the show notes.

Thank you to Joey V. for his movie review of The Social Reckoning.

Thank you to Matt Wagner and Kelley Jones.

That was another horror movie that I saw some, you know, fairly creepy looking previews for.

But according to the Movie Critics subreddit, trash! Alright, guess I'll Go ahead and wait for that one to be available on demand at home.

Yeah, I hope we're not entering a bad run for horror because we've been living in pretty good times for horror movies as of late.

I mean, fantastic horror movies dropped throughout the year.

We saw a bunch of stuff.

In the movie review, I'll be talking about Verity, and in the trailer park, I will be talking about The Rescue, which is about...

It's Brandon Sklenar.

Okay.

We saw a bunch of stuff.

In the movie review, I'll be talking about Verity.

And in the trailer park, I will be talking about The Rescue, which is about, it's Brandon Sklenar.

And he plays a dad who was a retired guy who was like a retired cowboy.
