I revisited a film he starred in in the late, no, I think 82, called Fighting Back.

where he is a Philadelphia grocery store owner, and the thugs, you know, non-white kids, are taking over the town.

So he forms a neighborhood watch.

He started off as a documentary filmmaker, went to film school, fell under the orbit of Roger Corman.

and then made features like Alligator and Fighting Back.

Very much, I would say, a schlock or B director, and I'm not putting him down for that.

There's a lot to be said for people who can move fast and get to the point of the story.
