Field training exercise

You know, uh, you know, a half-day workshop on Wednesday.

We did an FTX on Thursday with Rosendin Electric.

And then, um, I did a half-day workshop on, on Friday with a different construction company.

And so three of my three gigs this last week were all construction companies, and the reason why they were doing...

You know, they invest into their people.

They send people to Muster.

They send people to individual FTXs.

And this was their first corporate FTX.

So what, what is the...

I mean, what, what is it, like, an FT- for the two weeks straight out in the bush, what, what is a, is it, like, an FTX? Is it a movement? Like, we got to move from this point to this point-

Oh, you-

... and you got two weeks to do it or-

Too, too much tea or something like that.

They do do that.

But, um, no, the desert was, was cool, and, and the desert was more, more like an FTX after we, um, spent some time in the sand dunes.

We then worked on desert navigation, desert evasion skills, um, learned from some really cool guys.

You get, uh, a next level of briefing skills and public speaking because you're gonna be expected to present in potentially dangerous circumstances at an embassy, maybe an evacuation or maybe moving a protectee somewhere very dangerous, and there's a level of professionalism and polish expected.

And so you get these hard and soft skills, and then if you pass at the end of it, um, you gotta go through an FTX, and they, uh, evaluate you to make sure that your judgment is sound and your shooting is up to speed and your physical fitness and all the things that you'd expect of a team.

And then if you graduate, you're assigned to a team, and that's when you start your tour.

I mean, it sounds pretty, pretty selective, and I assume a lot of people don't, don't make the cut.
