Now for the new extended play from acclaimed Scottish pianist and composer Fergus McCreadie Recorded in a remote cottage in the Outer Hebrides, with the trio gathered in one room around an upright piano.

These pieces serve as intimate counterparts to The Sheiling, although I suspect they were tracks they couldn't fit onto the original album, plus a couple alternate takes of two of the tunes from The Sheiling.

In fact, one of them, Wind Shelter, is extended from four and a half minutes on the original album to 10 and a half on this Companion Pieces CD.

That being said, I do like this track from his The Sheiling companion album.

This is called Ford the River.
