Fergus Garrett

Tell, tell us some more about there.

I mean, Dixter is astonishing and it's led by, um, I, I think probably the most- ... competent, skillful, engaging gardener on the planet, and that's Fergus Garrett.

Fergus Garrett of Great Dixter reminds us to include trees and shrubs, even in borders, to act as habitat and a visual buffer, preventing viewers from seeing everything all at once.

Noel Kingsbury believes that the repetition of a limited number of plants will closely mimic natural plant communities, while Sarah Price prefers the visual echoes of similar plants in varying parts of the garden.
