Félix Potvin

to take on the Bruins.

For the Islanders, it was Felix Potvin as the goalie, while Byron Defoe guarded the nets for the Bruins.

And Boston took a 2-0 lead.

in the first period, but the Islanders answered back and tied it.

Pavel Dimitra, a blast from the past.

Backup, or no, I'm thinking of Felix Potvin.

Yeah, I know, Pavel Dimitra was a forward.

Yeah, no,

I don't have some shot and fraud with him.

i'm really happy oh man i'm seeing a felix potvin shut up in the chat that's a deep pull for people in this group but for us in toronto that's that's an awesome jersey i haven't done gilmore i've done gilmore poster that's going up in my basement so felix poppin great shout out but yeah kenneth walker so the thing that i think we all got to give him his flowers i don't even like that term that much but he was awesome and i was really happy for him it's one of these situations where i don't really understand the discussion Kind of like Seahawks fans are being clowned on.

The Seahawks and John, it's like they're clowned on, like, what kind of team would give away this player? You know, the team that just won the Super Bowl? And I was talking to my buddy, Derek, who comes on our show, and Derek is really analytical, and Derek would have probably puked in his mouth if the team paid $14 million, $15 million for a running back.

And look, I think we all would have, I think the case would have been maybe a franchise and with Charbonnet uncertain and a bad draft class.

I'll be the guy looking through all the boxes.

Uh, I grew up through the '90s hunting rare '90s parallels, inserts, and numbered things, uh, and collecting Felix Potvin, and that where it came from.

He was my favorite goalie growing up.

Uh, still is, and I still love hunting for him.

Very reliable stay-at-home defenseman, solid defensive player, and was the team captain for six of those 10 se- seasons during that fourth decade of Kings hockey.

[inhales] In net, Felix Potvin was probably the most talented goalie the Kings had during the decade, but he was only there with LA for two and a half seasons.

So I felt like I needed to go with Jamey Storr, who was there for twice as long, six seasons.

Unfortunately for Jamey, only had two winning seasons over that time.
