yeah well welcome to formula one we are of course going to preview the singapore grand prix at the marina bay street circuit in singapore phenomenal racetrack just on paper to drive the drivers all love it it's a proper challenge it's a street track done right there is at least one location to overtake and i think it might be a little bit better actually into these this era of cars because unlike monaco there is space to overtake down the camels down the raffles boulevard the cars are wide enough to make an overtake there so we might get lucky 4.927 kilometer track and i was actually lucky enough myself to be there a couple of years ago for lando norris's runaway victory and what ended up being daniel ricardo's last race which i didn't at the time because none of us knew until a couple of days later but in hindsight we were there for that which was very good fun but it is a special track the original night race in Formula 1 Coupes and again it's one of those kind of lovey-hatey sort of relationship we love watching qualifying here it's you really do get the sense of speed of the cars right up on the barrier especially going over that bridge we've seen Felipe Massa do his slidey overtake into that corner a few years ago but at the same time it can be a bit processional when it comes to Sunday
CoopsHOST
2:53
yeah but Weirdly, I remember more about drama that's happened there and incidents rather than processional.
CoopsHOST

So you've got to see then there's a bit.

safe bet if it wasn't Lewis it was Felipe Felipe baby I thought I thought Valencia was 2009 I don't have a memory of it being with the lower fatter cards
AdamGUEST
43:18
... and I think it was Lewis that come third 'cause George crashed.
JohnHOST
43:21
And, and if I remember right, Singapore, in the early days of Singapore, was when Felipe Massa drove out in a Ferrari with the fuel line still attached.
AdamGUEST
43:33
Yeah, quite possibly.
JohnHOST
43:34
And it's also the start of Alonso-gate.
Robert DoornbosHOST
35:13
The best.
Chris McHardyHOST
35:13
2008, Felipe Massa's getting ready to pop the champagne.
Robert DoornbosHOST
35:18
Yeah.
Robert DoornbosHOST
35:18
Yeah.
Will BuxtonHOST
18:32
I think back, go, even, even 10 years ago, um, you know, I'm thinking Lewis's early years in Formula 1.
Will BuxtonHOST
18:42
Um, there was great, great Grand Prix we had at Fuji in the blinding rain with Felipe Massa and Robert Kubica going wheel to wheel for lap after lap.
Will BuxtonHOST
18:53
Um, would've been the end of the, the 2000s, I think '08 maybe, '08, '09, something around there.
Will BuxtonHOST
18:59
Um, we just don't get wet races anymore.
Clark RogersHOST
26:20
Yeah, I agree.
Clark RogersHOST
26:21
Hopefully, maybe at the German Grand Prix, we'll get a little Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso action.
Nasser HameedCORRESPONDENT
26:27
Oh, yeah.
Nasser HameedCORRESPONDENT
26:29
Is it Hockenheimring or Nürburgring? It's Hockenheimring, right?

DesireeCORRESPONDENT

But he says the circuit is an attractive and challenging one.
DesireeCORRESPONDENT
61:19
Last year, he had a great race in Sepang and he finished fourth.
DesireeCORRESPONDENT
61:22
He managed to get past Felipe Massa and he kept the Ferrari behind him, so he has good memories.
DesireeCORRESPONDENT
61:28
Now, Robert Kubica, the boy who should have been on the podium last time, said he's also looking forward to the race in Malaysia because Sepang is a very challenging track that he's fond of.
JayHOST
3:59
He's actually a good driver.
JayHOST
4:01
Behind him is Felipe Massa.
JayHOST
4:03
I don't, I don't know him.
JayHOST
4:04
I mean, I heard about him, of course.
MattHOST
23:21
Giancarlo Fisichella is on our list.
JamieHOST
23:26
Have I said Massa yet? I'll say Felipe Massa.
MattHOST
23:29
That is incorrect.
JamieHOST
23:31
Oh, gosh.
JamieHOST
23:31
[laughs]
MattHOST
23:31
Felipe Massa never got a podium.
JamieHOST
23:34
Really?
MattHOST
23:34
Nope.
Sean KennedyHOST
17:09
Obviously, we have Multi 21 into Turn 1 in 2013.
Sean KennedyHOST
17:12
We saw Felipe Massa making a dive bomb around the inside and outside and inside and outside in Turn 4.
Sean KennedyHOST
17:17
Was that with Lewis Hamilton in 2008? The two of them going back and forth in 2007, going back and forth around there.
Sean KennedyHOST
17:22
And obviously, we've seen 15 at the end of the DRS straights and into 1.
Sean KennedyHOST
19:58
Actually, was that a year or two before his young driver test? He was a baby.
Sean KennedyHOST
20:03
Fucking hell, this is a weird grid.
Sean KennedyHOST
20:04
Felipe Massa, Jolyon Palmer.
Sean KennedyHOST
20:06
Lance Stroll's still kicking around somehow.
SamHOST
17:58
I don't...
SamHOST
17:59
There was this TikTok that I just saw earlier, I think it was either 2017 or '18, but he wrecked into Felipe Massa in Monaco.
SamHOST
18:05
I'm pretty sure it was Monaco.
SamHOST
18:07
Stupid rookie mistake And they asked Massa at a, um, a round table interview with this, at that time they were doing six drivers for the press conference.
CameronHOST
3:41
There are many memes, I'd argue, as far as this meme's concerned.
CameronHOST
3:45
Again, harping back to Felipe Massa and family when they thought that he won and then he lost.
CameronHOST
3:51
I think you want to invert that meme though, right? Surely F1 will win when Fernando's not there anymore.
CameronHOST
3:57
Give the opportunity to a young, hungry lion to come into it.
