caring about somebody else's growth creating the container to do that asking for permission what are other ways i want to talk about a diff challenging directly in a second but i want to fit the like what are the other ways that that you build trust when you show someone you care personally so

this is a little bit of a bridge between the care personally and the actual feedback conversation There was an article years and years ago by this coach named Marshall Goldsmith, who coaches lots of Fortune 100 CEOs called Feed Forward, Not Feedback.

It's like a clever, clever way to think about it.

And his point was, if the feedback feels like I'm just telling you what you did wrong in the past, it's just hard not to get defensive because I can't change the past.
