Feed Jake

You got to get me to the church on the Cumberland Road

Ah, Feed Jake by Pirates of the Mississippi, the song that proves country music could make you cry while also reminding you to check on your dog, your friends, and possibly your emotional support possum.

Released in 1991, this heartfelt tune became one of the band's biggest hits, with its story about friendship, loyalty, and a dog named Jake, who apparently had a better retirement plan than most humans.

And speaking of feeding Jake, when are they gonna write a song called Feed Pongo? Yeah, I know, buddy.

I got you covered, my friend.

Here's Pirates of the Mississippi.

This is called Feed Jake.

Exit country.

...

Feed Jake.

Remember that one?

Yeah.
