I remember I said no because I knew that you really encourage everyone to be vulnerable, and I knew immediately when you asked me what I would talk about, and I just thought, "I don't think I can do it.

I don't think I can talk about it, you know, publicly in front of everyone." And also, I just really worried about doing a good enough job because I'd seen all of the speakers in action and just thought, "Oh my gosh, they're absolutely brilliant.

You know, I, I, I don't know if I, if I can do this." So, um, yes, after initially saying- ...

a panicky no, and then reflected on it afterwards and thought, "Oh, what are you doing, Faye?" Emma's whole message is about being brave and speaking up, and it's good for everyone to share their stories, and everyone will benefit from it.

So I gave myself a bit of a talking to and then [laughs] and then said yes.

And after I'd said yes, I thought, "I really want to try and make sure I do as good a job as possible." I took that invitation really seriously.
