We're talking trade promotion authority today, otherwise TPA.

And we know that there's a lot of works when it comes to our dairy industry and trade.

So we hear today from Tammy Baldwin.

Talking about... changes that could or couldn't happen

so i'm not a trade lawyer so i'm going to say uh something that i you know again i i don't practice i never practiced in this area but what i would say is i think we're in somewhat uncharted territories so you know You know, when we talk about trade agreements that require votes in Congress, we've been talking generally about major deals that have been negotiated for years under trade promotion authority that we were just talking about.

That hasn't prevented presidents of both parties from sitting down with heads of state from other countries and making little deals, maybe on one commodity or on, let's increase our trade on this product.

One of the things we also talk about, though, is how we're looking to, I do this as governor, go on trade missions to open up markets overseas.

In the Working Families Tax Cut, we doubled the amount of money for Trade Promotion Authority.

And, in fact, you can see this year we're on track to have record trade revenues with countries like the UK, with the EU, with Mexico, with Canada, or South Korea rather.

So we are looking to open up those trade opportunities for our farmers and ranchers to be able to sell more of their products overseas.

We're going to welcome him there and talk about the things we've done with regard to no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, the things we have done for agriculture and the Working Families Bill to be able to, for example, Get rid of or make permanent the death tax exemption.

That really helps our farmers and ranchers a lot.

Again, I mentioned the doubling of trade promotion authority, but also extending the 45C tax credits for renewable fuels.

All that helps our farmers and ranchers.
