Joey LewandowskiHOST
The only rule is that you can't guess something that's already been guessed.
Joey LewandowskiHOST
How much screen time do you think Dwayne The Rock Johnson will get in Fast Forever?
Leesa CharlotteGUEST
Do you know how much screen time he's had in the other movies? Am I allowed to ask that question?
Joe TwoHOST
No.
Joe TwoHOST
Like nobody else has talked about it besides us
Joey LewandowskiHOST
...
Joey LewandowskiHOST
if you search on Google for like Fast Forever extinction-level event, like some of the top hits are our podcast because nobody else-
Joe TwoHOST
[laughs]
Dale CooperHOST
'70s is my favorite era of movie making.
Dale CooperHOST
It's like a quintessential '70s film on top of all that.
Dale CooperHOST
Love Taxi Driver.
Dale CooperHOST
And I've, I used to go to the city all the time.
Dave WeekleyHOST
Pick one topic number five.
Dave WeekleyHOST
Uh, Fast and the Furious, a TV series, has been green-lit at Peacock.
Dave WeekleyHOST
It's set to launch in 2028, arriving the same year as the franchise's final film, Fast Forever, on March 17th, 2028.
Dave WeekleyHOST
Vin Diesel will serve as the executive producer.
HarperHOST
never will.
HarperHOST
There's a report two days ago that said Fast 11 no longer has a director nor ever had a
TylerHOST
script.
TylerHOST
Yeah, and Vin Diesel came out.
Chris BillinghamHOST
But I do think the, [chuckles] as much as I hate saying it, I do think the franchise is probably ready to, uh, to wrap up and I don't...
Chris BillinghamHOST
I just hope that, you know, Fast Forever doesn't include...
Chris BillinghamHOST
Which in itself, you know, Fast Forever and this notion of we're going back to, [chuckles] we're going back to street racing given how Fast X ended just makes me laugh and I'm like, "Well, what's that gonna look like then?" Okay.
Chris BillinghamHOST
Um, it, I guess it all depends on whether Momoa's back and I'm not sure whether he is or not.
Chris BillinghamHOST
Um, but-
Dan DoolanHOST
Vin Diesel did not like being upstaged [chuckles] it seems.
Chris BillinghamHOST
And boy, was he upstaged.
Chris BillinghamHOST
Um, so you know, I just, the, I don't want Fast Forever to end on like something that like, "Oh, you gotta watch the TV show." Like, so Yeah, d- depending on what this is.
John RochaHOST
Let's get to something you broke.
John RochaHOST
Let's talk about Fast Forever, bro.
John RochaHOST
There's a new report from the Insight earlier this week.
John RochaHOST
It's made some big claims.
Headphones NeilHOST
And now that I think about it, I think it's because I saw the recommended, recommendation for the Fast and the Furious on one of the streaming platforms.
Headphones NeilHOST
And so I got to thinking about Fast Forever or whatever the final film in the Fast and the Furious franchise is going to be.
Headphones NeilHOST
And I got to thinking about what they could make the movie about.
Headphones NeilHOST
And the only thing I could come up with was because they need to work on, they want to, or I guess they want to round out the story arc for Brian.
5 MINS LATER
Headphones NeilHOST
And now they have to deal with Brian's brother as a family and they'll probably try and convert him.
Headphones NeilHOST
But, you know, they have to take him out because he's too far gone or because with the loss of Brian, there's no bringing him back and he's gone even crazier than he was before kind of thing.
Headphones NeilHOST
So, well, you know, long story short for all of that, we'll see what Fast or Fast Forever brings us, how they round out the story, how they deal with bringing Brian back if they, you know, kind of do a Fast and the Furious, the next generation kind of thing or anything like that.
Headphones NeilHOST
So with that being said, that's all for this particular episode.
JoJo CrewsHOST
Let us know.
JoJo CrewsHOST
And the final film is called Fast Forever.
JoJo CrewsHOST
This will be the 12th and final film.
JoJo CrewsHOST
So that's going to wrap up their film franchise.
John CampeaHOST
But he put out something a little while ago that looked really strange.
John CampeaHOST
He put out this social media post about Fast 11, which we are still waiting on.
John CampeaHOST
And it kind of implied maybe that he himself may be directing it or that they're looking for a director.
John CampeaHOST
And we were all like, wait a minute, time out.
John CampeaHOST
You said he was going to be directing this one.
John CampeaHOST
What's going on? You guys will also remember another social media post a long time ago that Vin Diesel put out.
John CampeaHOST
It says, oh, I just read the script for Fast 11 and it had me in tears.
John CampeaHOST
I was crying.
JPHOST
This, this might be for realsies this time.
JPHOST
Fast Forever should start shooting in December according to Vin Diesel.
JPHOST
He has the script.
JPHOST
It made him cry.
JoshHOST
Right.
JPHOST
Uh, but we'll, we'll have to wait and see with that one.
JPHOST
Vin Diesel, Fast Forever, that shit's happening in December apparently.
JPHOST
Uh, during the holidays, dude.
Movie GuruHOST
The series from Universal Television is set to premiere in 2028.
Movie GuruHOST
Fast Forever, the 11th and final film of the franchise, is set for release on March 17, 2028.
Movie GuruHOST
Guess what, folks? We finally have a title for Mike Flanagan's creepy new take on the late William Friedkin's horror film The Exorcist.
Movie GuruHOST
Now, it's been long rumored that the film, which will be a fresh take on the film and have no connection whatsoever to the utter disaster that was 2023's Exorcist Believer, would be called The Exorcist Martyrs.
