Farmer City

I was terrible.

I'd get laughed when I'd go to Farmer City and Fairbury and those type of places, but he knew that that's what I needed to be able to be good eventually.

It was a lot of years of struggle just getting my teeth kicked in, but I felt like that helped me a bunch.

As far as running through the middle and the bottom of the racetrack and stuff, that's just where i was asphalt racing growing up asphalt race and i feel like that that's what really got me going with just trying to make speed and driving straight and and i don't like to have to cross my hands uh in the steering you know with the steering wheel and stuff so i just uh got to the point where i needed to work on my race cars to run that middle to bottom lanes and That's what I was good at.

I was 12 years old sitting at the library of my grade school, and we all saw that second plane hit.

when we got sent home for the day.

So I stayed home.

I guess I could have traveled up to LaSalle or Farmer City or Fairbury.

But I said, you know what? I'll just wait.

So then they stop at lap 25 and they award him the winner and then they go, okay, draw this, so he does the redraw, he starts third, puts him behind all the big boys, and he passes them, so Ryan Unzinger, congratulations, the real winner, uh, because they re-rack him after 25 laps, and he passes him, uh, then they go to Farmer City, and, um, I forgot who won.

Farmer City, they go, and then they go to Fairbury, and then they go to Spoon and Fager.

Grand Nationals was Jeff Muehlbauer, and the stock cars was Marcus Hopner.

Farmer City, Illinois, the Mars Dirt Car Series, 5,000 win for the super late models.

Mike Spatola picked up the win there.

Down in West Burlington, Iowa, the 34 race-ready Power Eye 410 Sprints, Ryan Newton grabbed the win.

Drake Compton was, was pretty tough early.

And then it seems like Compton started going to farmer city and Mason Duncan started coming to Kinky key.

And they both just kind of win at their tracks.

And, um, but the, the, the show of the night was a little underwhelming.

I mean, it's still a popular class.

I think there was another track Friday.

Maybe Farmer City was running them.

So, you know, you got all these tracks kind of double dipping in the same classes.
