Fard

Na'am, 'ani sa'irihim.

And so he mentions that it's fardh kifayah.

Fardh kifayah is one of the two types of obligation.

So we have fardh 'ayn and fardh kifayah.

Fardh 'ayn is no doubt referring to the obligation that is upon every single individual.

For example, the Salatul Khams, the Salawatul Khams, praying the five prayers in the day.

This is fardh 'ayn.

And so when Allah, when the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam mentioned that Allah Ta'ala has placed for you that which you may give sadaqah.

Here he's informing them, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, of Sadaqah, which is not Wajib.

The Sadaqah is not Wajib, it's not obligatory.

However, it is the Sadaqah that is put forth by way of the Fada'il A'mal, by way of the virtuous and righteous actions.

And those are the actions that were mentioned within the narration.

Jazakum Allah khaira.

So if they say, I have a couple of friends with me, three, four of us, and we want to pray Fajr Salah together, is it a Fard prayer, you know, between Isha and Maghrib when it combines?

So are you all traveling together? Are you all classed as travelers? So if you're all classed as travelers, you can pray Jamal and Qasid.

So you can pray with combining and shortening because you're all travelers.

So there's deficiency in the salah.

And so the naqs in the salah, as we mentioned here, is, for example, the Nasiya an-Wajib.

So the person forgets that something which is a wajib.
