Fantasia Film Festival

Yeah.

Uh, so the only thing I have is that the film first debuted at the Fantasia International Film Festival before-

It got developed in 2006 after the stage play had finished up in 2006 and They made a 10-minute short and then turned that to shop that around to make the movie.

It premiered at the Fantasia Film Festival in July of 2008, followed by a limited release on November 7, 2008, on seven screens in various cities.

Wow.

So it didn't really get much of a chance.

But I just recently learned, I was up in, last month I was up in Fantasia Film Festival, and I was playing the international version of Final Exam Trivia, and I learned that your collaborator and director, Steve Kostansky, on that movie, one is Canadian, which I didn't realize, but he also directed the eighth film.

It was just at Fantasia Fest, and it's literally about having a doppelganger that dances all around the town.

Destroy All Neighbors.

It literally dances people to death.

It just came out.

We saw it at Fantasia Fest.

It's black and white.

So what about you? You got to watch Buddy, and I know you and Marley have kind of been on the mascot kick, watching Willy's Wonderland for the first time, you guys being a huge fan of Five Nights at Freddy's.

This movie was one of the titles that we could have gotten from Fantasia Fest.

Yes.

But with all of that going on with them, we didn't we didn't even participate, unfortunately, because we didn't want to like stifle future plans with them

I guess what I watched, I'll go.

Since last time I was here, actually, I was in Montreal, and I went to Fantasia Film Festival, which was great.

Saw a few things, which I'll touch on, and saw a few other movies as well, too.

I'll start off, I saw a film about... by uh uh adina lupino i believe is her name called uh the hitchhiker it's from 1953 it's like a um it's it's a movie about this hitchhiker these two guys pick up a hitchhiker it turns out he's like a criminal a serial killer and he pulls a gun on them and it's very like dark kind of road movie and a little bit about it kind of feels like the last cowboy kind of vibe it's like the last frontier of america there's like no good criminal it has a little bit of that kind of night of the hunter feel too because of the black and white and the time it came out So I saw it at the Cinémathèque Québécois.

Yeah, so continuing Fantasia since a bunch are coming out this week, I got to see Buddy, which was about...

Oh, man, I want to see it so bad.

It's about a killer unicorn.

But if you're into that sort of thing.

Give her a go.

And then the other one I wanted to talk about was another Fantasia film was called Colony, which I was very excited about.

It's from Yeon Sang Ho who did A Train to Busan many years ago.
