And then the second trailer was this like boner comedy called Fanboys.

The third one was this Arthurian remake called The Lost Legion.

The thing they all had in common was this logo that said The Weinstein Company.

Harvey and I, we had some public spats, and we didn't like each other.

I did a movie called Fanboys, which was about Star Wars fans that he pretty much butchered and tried every week, whatever the hit movie was of comedy movies, he tried to inject something different into it, and it was just a whole mess.

Yeah.

I publicly went after him a couple of times on Twitter.

He's, uh, in Fanboys for me.

I knew you would say Fanboys, and that is one of his famous four roles.

Yeah, boy.

I probably, like, 'cause I probably bought it from Blockbuster.

This is when I went through my, like, I think going through, like, Fanboys was the first major thing I'd seen Dan Fogler in.

I thought that was pretty funny.

And, um, talking about uh mclovin he was only 17 years old so his mother had to be on the set of this and she was on set when he did the sex scene in it so that was a little he said that was a little uh little uh awkward for him but i said they've never talked about it and they never will but um I thought another thing that was pretty funny is Michael Cera, the only reason he got this audition was because Jay Baruchel just worked, I think the movie was called Fanboys.

It's kind of like about Star Wars junkies and they were in it together.

And Jay Baruchel was talking to Seth Rogen about the movie.

I'm going to go with Burt Reynolds refused to be on the show.

The reason why the Star Wars one doesn't make sense is because Seth Green did the Fanboys movie, and that was all about making fun of Star Wars and Star Trek.

Right, but the thing was that it was a coincidence that both shows ended up having the Star Wars special at the same time.

He was there because he was in

inFanboys.

I've never seen Fanboys, but apparently he was in it, and he was, like, one of my last Friday the 13th people I had to get an autograph from.

But one thing I watched, it was Sunday, my laptop battery was dead, my internal battery was dead, and we just decided...

And, um, so gonna be great to catch up with him.

Of course, he's the, the, the, the creator of Fanboys, uh, not just one of the co-writers of the, of the script, but, uh, it was his idea.

So, uh, he's, you know, in a lot of ways, the ultimate fanboy, so he's gonna be joining us and it's gonna be a lot of fun.

So, uh, we wanna get to that, uh, in short order, 'cause there's much to get through in catching up with Ernest Cline.

... and he always will be Ernie, 100% Ernie.

And, uh, we always have a great time with him.

We hung out with him in Texas earlier in the month at Rebel Scum Con, and we hung out and partied with Ernie and the Fanboys cast, and, uh, other luminaries were amongst us, in- including, uh, the great Harry Knowles from Ain't It Cool website fame.

Talk about geek royalty.

Anyway, this New Jersey cop, I was like, oh, this guy looks really familiar.

Where do I know him from? And it's Chris Marquette from Fanboys.
