Famous Dave's

I am going to Brasa, or rather, I am getting Brasa and bringing it home, and that's because I have a picky customer at home.

My father-in-law, Ralph, will eat three things at my house, which is the Thanksgiving dinner I make, Famous Dave's barbecue, and Brasa.

And I'm going for Brasa.

And folks, if you have not had Brasa, what are you doing? It is one of the most beloved restaurants in the Twin Cities, but I want you to branch out a little bit.

And it just, you have to create momentum around your brand and take every opportunity.

One of the best pieces of advice that I got when I was early in my restaurant ca-Cur- I was just starting my restaurant career and, and had, had Plowboys for a little bit, but Famous Dave told me at NBBQA in, in like 2012, I think.

You know, he was talking about how really Famous Dave, the, the persona, he's like, "That's not really who I am," or, "It's not who I was, and it's...

You know, I had to learn to be that because that's the role I needed to play." And I'm paraphrasing for Dave, so.

But you know, that's the way I interpreted it was, you know, he was saying, "This is the role I play at Famous Dave's for Famous Dave's.

This is my role." And he said this, "Every time I'm Famous Dave, I'm practicing for the next time I need to be Famous Dave." And I was like, that made so much sense to me.

So every time I'm on a podcast, or every time I'm in front of a camera, or every time I'm doing an interview, or every time I'm doing something on social media, it's practice for the next time I'm doing a podcast or...

You know? And, and I saw on Instagram today Mike Starr of Blazing Star talking about you.

Melendez Torres is guilty of two murder charges.

Prosecutors say Torres approached Crystal Bull and Richard McMahon outside Famous Dave's BBQ in May of 2021.

He demanded money from the restaurant employees and got into an argument before shooting both victims once in the head.

The Springfield Cardinals meanwhile underwent a huge rebrand and are now being called the Ozarks Springbirds.

He's in the FRLA Hall of Fame.

He was at Chili's, he was at Famous Dave's before that.

He's had an incredible career, and not just him, but he really was born into this.
