Um, so with that in mind, of all of, like, the it books of 2026, what are their sexualities? Like, Yesteryear is probably straight.

And you would think that, uh, Famesick-

Mm-hmm

... is, like, kind of straight too because Lena Dunham is, but actually, like, I think just because of its annoying nature-

There are two it books we've both read.

Yeah.

Famesick.

Yeah.

a full movie out of it and you're like come on now that could have been done in 20 minutes kind of thing so I was thinking that it was going to be another case like that where it's like how much can they really stretch three people just finding each other like yeah it's really cool but like are we really gonna make a two-hour movie about it but then someone really recommended it recently and was like no no you have to trust me like it's about way more than just that and so I gave it a go and it was actually incredible it's just really crazy the whole story what they end up looking into the twists that you find out when it comes to like the adoption agency the research thing that's that were going on behind the scenes that no one was aware of I don't want to give away any spoilers and I'm very late to the game on this one because I think everyone's been recommending it for honestly about five years now but if you haven't watched it this This is your side to watch it now.

I'm also listening to Lena Dunham's Famesick book as an audiobook currently.

I'm really loving the audiobooks at the moment.

I think it's because I've got a good load downloaded that have been recommended that are good as audiobooks.

Open the contents page of Famesick before you read a single line of it.

Three parts, each one named after a lyric from a Britney Spears single released in 2001.

Beneath them, the sections carry the titles of episodes of girls, all of them.

Nobody seems to have looked at the contents page.

It is the most honest thing in the book and she may not have meant it that way.

Famesick came out in April of 2026, 12 years after her first memoir and nine years after Girls ended.

It went to number one and the reception split cleanly in a way that tells you something.

The prose was praised almost without exception.

And then all of it.

was gone, the next day when I walked past, the only thing that was still there was my copy of Leonard Dunham's Famesick.

Someone else, they must have gone through the suitcases, took that out and was like, not that.

Not that one.

Motherfuckers.

You should add the suitcase to the, you know, refund me for my hotel stay and also I had to ditch my suitcase forever.

Which wasn't

Like I'm thinking about Lena Dunham and Halsey again, both who deal with endometriosis.

And I mean, what Lena went through and what she details in FameSick, as you know, we both also have endometriosis, like, oh my God, you know, like my heart just broke reading that.

And I think so much of what she's done though, by talking about it is like raised awareness, you know, similarly with Halsey, like talking about it and raising awareness and advocating for women's health and the fact that this does matter, but because we as a society just do not care about women, right? Wasn't it like they discovered that a man, could have endometriosis.

And now all of a sudden there's a saliva swab test in the last week.
