Hidden was great.

Loads of places around Fallowfield.

That's when people were still getting on it and partying a lot.

I feel like food's replaced partying.

Ronrod had a cousin a couple of years younger than him, Barry Bell, who was born in 1954.

He grew up about three miles away from his cousin in Fallowfield.

Barry claimed to be a talented young footballer and claimed that an injury ended his prospects of playing career, after which he moved into youth coaching while still in his teens.

Barry also had a reputation of petty theft and had several minor convictions.

2000 and when this came out, this is exactly when I started DJing around Manchester, playing drum and bass in public, [laughs] not at student parties, but in places where I could play this.

It's so different, not so much in content, but it's so different sitting here.

It's, uh, such a world away from when I began this in Fallowfield in South Manchester 12 years ago.

The studio setup is a little bit more impressive now than it was then, as I mentioned.

But on this very day 12 years ago in Fallowfield, in Fallowfield in Manchester, I was in a rented house with, uh, the missus, and a very, very, very patchy studio, uh, d- d- designed using very, very, very basic gear.

I had a lot of help from my cousin Martin from Waterford, and, uh, and a guy called Paul Ripley from Manchester, from Fab Radio in Manchester, and I opened a microphone on "The Richie Allen Show" for the first time.

So a decade of doing parties.

We just started in a Fallowfield basement.

Fortunately, my business partners, Kurt, Dash, and Dan, they were already doing student events.

So they were already promoters, which was great for me.

So they were already promoters.

They had the experience, the knowledge of how to set up a night.

They had a contact at a place in Fallowfield, which is like a really grungy student area in Manchester.

I think it was 200 capacity.

Now, is that a

thing? Yeah.
