Falih Al-Fayyad

He had, uh, he had this authority among a lot of the factions.

Um, I remember I was, uh, I was once there where there was a bit of a confrontation or a disagreement, uh, between Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and Faleh al-Fayyad, the official, uh, chairman of the PMF.

So when I was, uh, conducting the interviews, uh, what struck me was really, like, how they were seen.

So in a way, they would say, "No, this is not really an disagreement on how the organization should develop.

They're both committed.

They're both, you know, like, they, they are trying to pursue the best interests or the best outcome for the PMF." But Faleh al-Fayyad is Muazzaf.

He's, uh, he's a state servant.

He's an official.

And the question is, who is going to prevail? Because last year, when the draft law was considered, there was still a lot of ambiguity over the qualifications that were required for the chairman of the commission.

And especially over the age of retirement and whether Faleh al-Fayyad would be able to continue as the Hashid chairman.

Now, I think that The cleavage that exists within the framework on this matter is interesting because in the past, you had Asa'ib al-Hilhaq allying with Hamid Shia' al-Sudani's party to get things done in parliament.

But on this issue, it does beg the question whether Sudani will continue to stick with Farah al-Fayyad or whether he will throw him under the bus.
