Fake Tales of San Francisco

They have an EP, which is Five Minutes with Arctic Monkeys, that's out mid-2005.

And that's the A-side, Fake Tales of San Francisco, and the B-side, From the Ridge to the Rubble.

Pretty great start there.

I mean, Fake Tales in particular, a personal favorite, underrated karaoke song, in my opinion.

I feel bad for them in that case, because the Arctic Monkeys fucking ripped.

I hope you're listening, Mark Beaumont of the NME, but they were still really, really bringing it at that time, and the crowd was absolutely raring for them.

They're singing along to Cigarette Smoker Fiona and the B-Sides from the first couple singles, and they're singing along to the guitar riffs to Fake Tales of San Francisco, like it's Seven Nation Army or something.

and it really feels like you're watching the biggest band in the world in their moment, even as the press and maybe some other people were already kind of starting to write that moment off as over.
