Fairmount Avenue

Neighbors in Philadelphia's Northern Liberties are frustrated with what they say has been an uptick in car-related thefts and vandalism.

They say surveillance video captured two suspects stealing the catalytic converter off a parked vehicle on Fairmount Avenue.

And there have been other car-related thefts.

All four wheels from this Toyota Corolla were stolen this week in the same area.

Well, the water finally receded here in the usual flooding spots around Atlantic City, which is good for people who have been waiting for that to happen.

People parked their cars on the sidewalks up and down Fairmount Avenue in these side roads because those vehicles were surrounded by water not long ago.

And there's a worry about how long it's taking for water to recede after each high tide.

Paul Stewart and his father-in-law, Pat Dalton, have been trying to beat the tide.

Police were also investigating this shooting scene in North Philadelphia.

A 20-year-old man was shot just feet from his home on the 1200 block of Fairmount Avenue.

The victim was shot in the back and is in critical condition.

Police did not release a motive, but say there were reports of a fight just moments before the shots were fired earlier this evening.

And that's why I called him up, took the serial number off.

He and I went down to an area off of Fairmount Avenue in North Philly.

I gave him the gun.

He went in the house.
