Fairfax Station

So Irma Clifton, a very noted historian in the area, and somebody very connected to Lorton, had approached me when the prison was gonna be closed about coming over to look at it.

And I said, all I want is that prison gone, wiped off from the face of the earth, and so we'll never have to think about that prison again after having lived in its shadow for many years in Fairfax Station.

But I came over there and I said, wow, this is really like a campus.

It's like a UVA.

And so we have that Lorton Vision Task Force that's involved trying to figure out more of a town for Lorton, mostly to be able to brand it and to say, here's where Lorton is.

Lorton is a very spread out area.

And many of the places in Lorton have, Lorton has actually shrunk over the years because when there was a prison, we said, nah, we'll call this Fairfax Station.

We'll call this Mason Neck.
