Fair Game

It's incredible.

But this hyper-macho movie was actually loosely based on a 1974 novel by Paula Gosling called A Running Duck, which was later republished as Fair Game.

And the backstory of how A Running Duck transformed into Cobra is a perfect case study in Hollywood development hell.

Tell me about it.

But then the property takes one more turn.

A decade later in 1995, Hollywood goes back to Gosling's book and produces a second adaptation.

Oh, Fair Game.

Yes.

I'm gonna, I'm gonna pitch...

So we've talked about Fair Game, Sudden Death-

Mm-hmm

...

Mm

... two characters in that.

So we're gonna go Fair Game.

We're gonna go Fled, Hard Rain, and Metro.
