It also leaves the question of what do you do with Facundo Torres? Like, has he been so much worse than this trio that you sit him on the bench for it? So I think that's a big question.

I do think that those three guys are three of our most um like intuitive instinctive soccer players where you let them get into dangerous areas and just act on what they know how to do and you would trust those three guys to kind of be be some of the smartest guys on the field whenever they're out there so i do like that combination i like how ramirez will often make runs that create space for other people so I like that part of it.

I do still think like we have to be able to get the ball to them.

Again, easy to say after you get scored on with a wonder strike like that.

But it is the 73rd minute here where you get Facundo Torres, Mikael Dessler, and Jorge Ostway in for BHI, Sabovich, and Christian Ramirez.

It's another reason why I said that this might have been, this might be the most difficult season that I've suffered through with this team, man, because the expectations coming into the season, where we were sitting and how we were feeling about this roster, guys who are gone now, who are excited about Jaden Nelson and Owen Wolfe's emergence as a big-time player in this league, another step forward for Danny P, the arrival of Joseph Rosales, Jeremy Beard taking more steps, getting a healthy Brandon Vasquez back.

delivering on a Facundo Torres type of player who has multiple double-digit goal seasons when he was first in MLS and to be in 14th place now, and you're going to play the Sporting Kansas City team, and they're going to have the best player on the pitch when those two teams come.

Andre Luiz is by far the best player in this matchup when we see the Sporting Kansas City team.

Uh, Brandon Heinzyke, Alexander Slotark, and Guillermo Biro, uh, were the back line for Austin.

Philly, I'm not kidding you when I say Lalo Gaston and I were talking and we were watching, and when they subbed off midfielder Facundo Torres, we didn't know he was on the pitch.

This is a guy who sol- got sold to Palmeiras for millions, and had to retreat his way back in to Major League Soccer, and I was shocked at the performance that we didn't get from Facundo Torres.

Also in the midfield, Ervin Torres, Besard Sabovic, and CR21 back on the pitch, uh, against LAFC this time, Christian Ramirez.

Uh, winger Joseph Rosales played pretty much everywhere and was a lot of fun to watch, if I'm being honest.

And with Austin, Facundo Torres, he came over from Palmeiras at the beginning of this year.

This is the same Facundo Torres who scored 14 goals in two consecutive regular seasons with 2023 and 2024 with Orlando.

He is a supremely talented player, but unfortunately, as we have seen, Many MLSers head to Palmeiras, and it doesn't go well.

That is a tough place to play if you're not ready to roll, and unfortunately, it didn't go well for Facundo Torres.

Well, look, he's pretty darn good, and I think he's one of those players.

Four goals and seven primary assists in all competitions.

And, oh, by the way, a former teammate of Brian Rodriguez's over there at Peñarol.

You know what I'm saying? Like, I remember when we had Facundo, I saw him at Magic Kingdom.

... get quick opportunities where we have a guy like Irving Torres or Facundo Torres, um, hitting a quick ball in behind or taking the ball and running at the defense that's now on the back heel, uh, who was just a minute ago, you know, trying to build out of the most recent attack after that.

You know, it's that quick play where we're really creating that chaos in the mid- middle of the field.

So I think that's how we can, we can find some, some quick opportunities like what you're saying, um-

He knows Facundo Torres' pedigree as well.

I can't tell you what he and Coletta Lamar are going to do to this roster in terms of whether they're going to blow it up or not.
