It is a love song addressing an Ethiopian woman, an Abyssinian woman, saying, "We are coming to liberate you from backwardness and ignorance and slavery." Uh, they still practiced, uh, domestic slavery in Ethiopia, and one of the, uh, justifications that the, the fascists gave for invading Ethiopia is that they were going to end slavery.
