welcome to episode 666. hello and welcome to episode 17 of the miami review of comics i'm your host drew lerman and today i'm so excited to be joined by roman muradov roman is a brilliant cartoonist and illustrator his graphic novels include in a sense lost and found no brow press 2014 jacob bladders on the state of the art from uncivilized in 2016 resident lover from kush 2018 Vanishing Act from Fantagraphics in 2018, and most recently published All the Living, which came out this year, 2026, from Fantagraphics.

Roman has also done illustrations for publications like The New Yorker, New York Times, Time Magazine, Vogue, GQ, and those Penguin classic editions of Joyce novels, Dubliner's Portrait of the Artist's Young Man.

It was all improvised.

But, you know, at some point I was at some party in Angoulême and someone was talking about this cartoonist called Fab Caro.
