I remember having like a round of 32 heat at sunset.

And it was me, Zeke Lau, Sheehan Crawford, and Baron Emilia.

Right.

And like a one star.

And by the way, if you look at the six or eight-part series leading up to it, a lot of the comments section was saying that he was getting it wrong because he was scoring those events.

And people were like, God, Yadin got that, you know, Zeke Lau should have won the air contest in Waco, not Dimitri Poulos.

But so I didn't feel super strongly about Yadin scoring in those episodes.

But in the final itself, there were things going down where I submitted my score.

Today we have the ultimate surfer, former CT campaigner, and one of our favorite Hawaiians and Surf 100 star, Zeke Lau joining us.

What brings you to California?

Wish I was his lady.

Anyways, we also got to hear from Dimitri Polos, the surfer who narrowly beat Zeke Lau in Waco, Texas.

And he's also the final surfer to qualify for the Surf 100 finale where he could potentially win $100,000.

And I think it's, you know, I think that you can get better.

Like Zeke Lau was just on the podcast and we were talking about this and he did full estate training going into his best season on tour.

And he said that he could basically stay in a selfless environment for like 30 minutes at a time, like for the whole heat.

he wouldn't experience it like in a mental capacity where he's riding the wave of, you know, like you said, feeling fear or anticipation.

Woo!

I think we as a sport, as a culture, as a form of art, whatever you want to call this thing called surfing that we do, we've arrived to a point where I think surf content is just Zeke burning people.
