But I can definitely understand if that was the plan going forward, why the lead writer would be unhappy about that, because it would be a very bizarre thing to do and not a smart way for the show to go.

I was also a little surprised just that there was an American remake because this show has Patrick Stewart in it that everybody knows and Maggie from Extras that some number of people know.

So I was like, of all the shows, they could just pour it over.

Why not this one? But then as we watched it, I did start to realize that even though the leads, I feel like you could transplant pretty easily to North America, the problem is everyone else, you know? Like, I think I didn't realize how much people from the UK and Ireland and that whole area, they really pull their punches when they're in our North American stuff as far as their accents go, because the accents were crazy in this show.
