What is an- what's an EVD?

Yeah.

Um, the EVD is, like, an extraventricular drain.

I actually have never quite read my official reports, but in some cases, patients might have, like, where they're having increased buildup of fluid, like CSF, cerebrospinal fluid, in their brain, um, and it's not flowing out, and so that increase in pressure, we need to get it out.

It's not, not safe.

And so an EVD, they can go ahead and drill holes.

Like, I can actually feel where my EVD was at here.

Even ER nurses don't know how to set up an art line.

Or, you know, we had to place a bedside EVD once, extra ventricular drain on a patient.

And because I had that neurotrauma experience on the floor, I was able to help.

And so it all just created a really, really beautiful career that I'm really loving.
