Exposome

A-a-and, uh, Kristen, you know, you, uh, your original work was, uh, during your dissertation in the area of pharmacokinetics and it, and it, it, you know, really occurred at a very interesting time, uh, where, you know, there was sort of an evolution going on sort of in the industry looking at how pharmace кине- kinetics was, was done, let's say, and how these models were created in terms of, uh, dealing with, you know, uh, outputs or thinking, you know, beyond sort of a, as maybe theoretical exercise understanding sort of s- where sort of these complex pharmacokinetic models ultimately, uh, fit into, you know, something like, say, the human body.

I mean, talk a little bit about this work because, again, very important component, uh, and we're gonna be, of course, getting into PK, um, a-as we touch [laughs] on the Human Exposome.

But, but talk about a little of your early work.

As a chemist, uh, we have this, uh, invisible, you know, chemical world out there.

Thousands of substances in the air, in the water, in the food, the products we use on a daily basis.

From the perspective o- of, of a chemist, what, what do you think about? How do you describe what we're gonna be talking about today when you hear the Human Exposome?
