Expo Real

[upbeat music] Expo Real is a global platform.

We are here today to see the Germany companies and European market and to show them the important of the strategic partnership for Abu Dhabi's continuous growth.

We want to showcase our project, our opportunity of collaborations with our pioneers in real estate, developers from the delivery partners.

So when we started this, we probably didn't think we'd get past episode three, but here we are.

And for this episode, we have one of our Expo Real specials and we have some special guests with us.

We have Dara Lennon, CEO of Fine Grain Property.

Okay.

I suppose just in terms of Expo, I suppose most people probably listening will know what it is.

And we've done a few of these podcasts after Expo Real, which took place last week.

It's probably the biggest real estate trade fair in Europe.

Um, listeners, if you missed our last two episodes, they both involved keynote conversations from our Preq Europe Forum last month.

And this week, of course, was Expo Real, where the industry descends on Munich each October for one of the world's largest international real estate investment trade fairs.

And as always, the Preq team was there on the ground in Munich taking the temperature, hearing about different approaches to private real estate in a volatile environment, and of course meeting with countless private real estate investors and managers from not just across Europe, but around the world.

Some of the dominant topics of conversation, of course, being continued appeal of real estate relative to other asset classes or lack thereof, I suppose subject of, uh, maybe some differing opinions, interest rates, geopolitical uncertainty, bond yields, and the general tenuous macro environment and how that's impacting plans and timelines all across this sector.

Um, Sam, how's your, uh, how's your time over there going?

It's been great.

Um, Expo Real was really, was, was really interesting.

I learned a lot about what is going on in the market right now, and it was fantastic to be in London as well to catch up with some sources who didn't make the trip to Munich and meet colleagues again in the London office.
