So a whole bunch of those parameters, we've got actual numbers that we really know.

The confirmation of exoplanets has been the biggest driver in getting a better answer to the Drake equation.

Exoplanets are planets outside our solar system that orbit other stars.

That's the variable F sub P that asks the fraction of stars that have planets.

And I just introduced myself and asked him what he did.

And when he said he was an astrophysicist, I immediately went, What? He explained that he, you know, he worked with Exoplanet and NASA and the European Space Agency.

And it was fascinating.

So we tended to just get on really well.
