Exmoor

Tell us a little bit about why this is so unique and unusual and worth protecting and worth understanding.

Yeah, so essentially the North Devon Biosphere is an area of almost 5,000 square kilometres, so quite a huge area and it kind of sort of spans out into Oakhampton, Dartmoor, you've got Exmoor, you've got you know the ocean side of it as well so you know we're spanning all the way out beyond Lundy.

Actually the marine side of the biosphere is almost 3,000 square kilometres so huge huge area that we're talking about and essentially it's designated based on people, planet and place.

So it's partly due to amazing nature, but also due to partly heritage, community, kind of the ability to kind of make this area into a sustainable hub by involving the community.

The cry came out of a hollow whose sides were scarred by the sliding of broken hummocks, the faint cry of a river new born, end quote.

The spirit of Dartmoor and of Exmoor is, above all, the spirit of the waters, and to Mr. Williamson it is a spirit so familiar as to have become a part of himself.

The point is that there really is something queer about Exmoor and his family, something quite natural, I dare say, but quite abnormal.

And the ear is in it somehow, I fancy, either a symbol or a delusion or a disease or something.

uh card card games board games as opposed to the big monster ones uh like they have in the past and here you know we've got this thing's got to be tiny this expansion i imagine it's probably going to be in a box slightly bigger than a deck of cards this is just me guessing i have no inclination other Other than just guessing and seeing an image.
