Two, the EO told the Justice Department to pregame some prosecutions against any state officials who might send ballots to people that... that Mark Wayne conveniently left off his list.

So, you know, just like get in a pre-prosecution posture and do the haka or something like that.

I guess that's number two.

And three, the EO told every state to send their gross, miscegenated list of citizens to the U.S.

Postal Service, and it told the Postal Service to refuse to deliver any ballots for people who aren't on Mark Wayne's list.

Yeah.

E.O. upheld by the Supreme Court that the slimeball lawyer, that's what I'll call Mark Elias and Norm Eisen, two of the worst, are freaking out over, which means to me they're over the target, don't you think? And possibly deeply involved in keeping the elections rigged in the Democrats favor, which we've been seeing for the last, well, what, six years or more.

So what is Mark Elias so afraid of?

Above all else, the effort to commandeer the US Postal Service in a shameful act to turn it into a voter suppression war machine against the citizens of the United States is both unlawful and unconstitutional.

They were charging them numbers that were unsustainable.

The EO asks the USDA for robust enforcement of the Packers and Stockyards Act, requires several agencies to assess current regulations, evaluate the impact gray wolves under the Endangered Species Act, and review country of origin labeling.

The president says one of the orders also allows producers to process, package and sell meat across state lines in an effort to bypass the country's largest processors.

And they'll have inspections, they'll have inspectors, they'll have everything just like these big plants, Adam.

From producers' perspective, it was disappointing to hear the president talk about how excited he is that beef prices are coming down.

You know, cattle producers around the country have lost tens of millions of dollars in the last few weeks alone, given these market shocks from this latest round of imports.

Bill Bullard, CEO of R-CALF USA, says the EO is a good first step.

Provides options, for example, that the Secretary of Agriculture could make recommendations for legislative action.

Those would be sent to state election officials and to the postal service, which could refuse to mail ballots for anyone whose name was not listed.

Now last week, as we had shared with you all, the Supreme Court gave Trump a partial victory by allowing him to move forward with his executive order.

Because the lawsuits that were filed against the EO, according to the Supreme Court, had no standing.

They hadn't been implemented yet, there hadn't been damages yet.

So it was too early to argue that these states who had sued the Trump administration to halt the EO, they didn't have the standing to do the lawsuits, right? However, days before the court Days before the court ruled, the Postal Service formally published a new plan to comply with the EO, the executive order.

It said it would only send mail ballots for states that got approval for the design of their envelopes and submitted a list of voters receiving them through the still not active online portal.

You guys get that? The portal isn't even active yet, okay.

it, they got it.

Postal Service's perilously rushed and potentially unlawful implementation of President Trump's executive order seeking to restrict mail-in voting.

And then you see he talks about the lack of technical or operational capability needed to effectively implement it, and that it appears they are moving forward with flawed plans, no matter the chaos they may create.

Then right below that, It says this, quote, USPS may have violated a court order by continuing to implement the EO despite being ordered to cease all such work.

That is the letter from Senator Blumenthal to the U.S. Postmaster General outlining the EO.

nature of the allegations and also submitting a series of questions for the Postmaster General to respond to so that the Congress and the Senate in particular, Senator Blumenthal, can get to the bottom of this.

But also, I want to show you the first page of the actual whistleblower complaint.

A- and then add to that, you know, as Justice Sotomayor's dissent noted, the federal government itself conceded that it might use a state's failure to rely on DHS Homeland Security's approved voting list as evidence to support criminally investigating or prosecuting state election officials.

So it may have once been the case that the legal status of this executive order and its directives were unclear, but in a world with a unitary executive, especially when we're dealing with commands to law enforcement and DOJ, which the court said are purely executive and subject to plenary presidential control- The EO directive in that world just looks different.

And can I say that just, I think that's a really important linking of not just Slaughter, the president controls everything in the executive branch case, but also, as Leah was just alluding to, Trump versus United States-

The one that Leah mentioned actually had already been issued by the time the Supreme Court's order came down, but went unmentioned in that order.

Okay.

So the earlier challenge was to the EO itself.

This new challenge is to the order implementing some of the provisions of the executive order, and this new temporary restraining order restrains, right, blocks the implementation of this rule.

So i- in one sense, this Supreme Court order is an echo of Judge Rodriguez's decision in, in the previous story, right? Like, this is a ruling based on standing.

The Supreme Court has not said that that executive order, it's, it's EO 14399, they have not said that that is constitutional or permis- because it very clearly is not.

Instead, what the Supreme Court has said is that it's too early to even ask that question.

The six-justice majority claims that Judge Talwani jumped the gun by enjoining the executive order because the states haven't yet been injured.
