He had a sister who died very young, but he was in a family that was part of.

The Plymouth Brethren, they were a subset, a more religious Christian subset called the Exclusive Brethren.

So they were kind of a, I would think of them as kind of a snobby, set-aside kind of Christian sect.

And he was sent to Christian schools.

That's correct.

He, they, his mother and father were part of the Plymouth Brethren, which were influenced by dispensationalism and Darby, but they saw themselves as a special side class of that called the Exclusive Brethren.

Isn't that where we're getting a lot of this modern Christian Zionism from, Darby?

My name is Lindy Jacom, and I'm a former member of the Exclusive Brethren who was involved in political campaigning for the National Party in the lead up to the two thousand and five New Zealand election.

I was around sixteen at this age, a teenager, and like many other young people in the church, I was expected to take part in what the Brethren leadership presented as being an important cause.

At the time, I didn't really understand politics, and I couldn't vote anyway due to my age, but Brethren didn't vote regardless of their age.

Seems some things never change.

Thanks to the diligence and courage of investigative journalists such as Michael Bachelard with his explosive revelations of the corruption of the exclusive brethren revealed in today's SMH, the public are made aware of the lengths the EB slash PBCC will go to in their attempts to influence the outcome of political elections.

To me, the greatest lie perpetrated by the EB hierarchy is the claim that brethren members act individually when the fact is all strings are pulled by the puppet master.

Edward Crowley Sr. owned shares in a valuable business that sold beer, Crowley Ale.

The pious Exclusive Brethren viewed Christmas as a pagan festival and considered the Roman Catholic Pope an antichrist.

Each morning after breakfast, the Crowley household, including the servants, would gather in the dining room to read aloud a chapter of the Bible.

From these family habits, Crowley learned at an early age about Christian doctrines concerning the end of the world, salvation, the nature of sin, and the afterlife.

the offspring from a very rigid sect of the Plymouth Brethren called the Exclusive Brethren.

And the leader of that sect was a person by the name of John Nelson Darby.

And he wasn't allowed to read anything at home other than the Bible until he was 12.

The hypocrisy of your victimhood was next level.

Do you understand how small you look sitting there playing the victim when you and your fellowship built the exact situation you are now standing in? After years and years of this, you finally get called out and your answer is to cry that you're the victim? No, the only victimhood you get to claim is the same one the rest of us have, and that's being brainwashed and indoctrinated in a cult.

The third thing I want to talk about is the name Exclusive Brethren, the RRT and the Secretariat.

Yes, there you go.

Now, the, um, Herald, uh, well, Sydney Morning Herald, and the Age, the nine newspapers, Jack, uh, I'm just having a look for this, um, um, uh, have, uh, published a story today talking about the Exclusive Brethren, and how they had, um, paid sums of money, or sums of money were paid to far-right activists, Jack, to cause problems, uh, disruptions, um, protests, et cetera, at, uh, at campaign events, uh, led by Anthony Albanese for Labor and, and, and for the Greens too, and also some of the, uh, the teal independents.

Um, now this is subject to a parliamentary inquiry.

Um, but the story running in The Herald today, uh, was that duffel, duffel [chuckles] bags of cash were made available to some of these far-right characters.

We know most of them through the conditional release program.

Um, it, uh, is a sordid business indeed, Jack, um, but we may not ever get to the bottom of it.

The Exclusive Brethren has says, "Look, some of our members might have done this, but we didn't do this." Um, um, and the Excl- Exclusive Brethren, for, uh, our, our listeners who don't know, is, is a sect or cult, um, based in a s- well, it's a, it's a global, uh, global, um, um, uh, cult.

Um, uh, they don't allow their, um, their, uh, their followers to vote, but it doesn't stop them getting out and popping the blue shirt on every now and then and, and telling people, uh, who they should vote for.
