Exclamation mark

You aren't supposed to compare notes because you might realize, hey, this isn't working for anybody.

You need to believe, right? That's the title of Rich DeVos' book, Believe! Exclamation Point.

But it's a brilliant, brilliant system because no negativity is allowed.

Doubt is sin.

I sent one and I really, oof.

I think I had one too many exclamation marks in that email.

I sounded like I was...

I came across as fake.

There were so many exclamation marks.

I wish I could pull it back and turn at least one of them into a period.

I'm never in that good of a mood,

Well, first of all, I mean, it's like, it's sort of...

I think if it was just called Martyr without the exclamation point, I think it would seem quite dour, right? It would seem quite, I don't know, a book called Martyr with my very ethnic name underneath I think would seem, uh, sort of, I don't know, relentless maybe.

Interesting.

You expect it to be kind of one of those vegetable books where you read it and you know that it's good for you to read it, but it's not a good time to re- you know? And, and I hope that that's not the book that I've written.

I mean, it's obviously about serious stuff and suicidality and martyrdom and orphanis- an orph- orphanism? Be- orphanhood, um, and, uh, and legacy and whatever.

But, um, you know, it's also about Sonic Youth and Erika Paullu and, um, and, and love and what, you know.

Um, and so I think that the exclamation point tonally communicates something like that.

I also think, you know, the, Cyrus is an addict and, uh, and I'm a sober addict.

Oh, that's really the downfall.

Yeah, Dax, uh, Exclamation Point.
