So since 2014, that's a 300% increase in job applications.

Biggest reason for that is the AI has made it easier than ever for candidates to apply for jobs.

We've got easy apply.

We've got CV generators.

The downside is that employers have more applications than ever before to try and sift through, and the sad reality of that is that a lot of candidates are getting lost in the noise.

But using AI in recruitment raises another question: Could tech designed to make hiring fairer actually amplify existing bias?

The first thing we always say is, "We as employers need to understand how bias can influence our decisions as humans." So we really typically, we start with the training.

I mean, I guess there always is.

So it is challenging as with all field sports.

You know, I'm a l- one of the lucky ones in that I grew up around people who were doing it, and that was my way in, and I had natural mentors.

Unlike pheasant shooting, there is a way in with deer stalking and that's to do your DSC 1, okay? It doesn't turn you, transform you into an expert, but it gives you confidence.

It gives you the base understanding you need to then build from there.

And if you have a DSC 1, quite often for landowners, that is an indication that actually you do know what you're doing.
