Books like Every Moment Holy that just has a bunch of different liturgies in there that you can pray throughout the day while you're super specific, while you're changing diapers, when you're about to have a dinner with someone, when you're about to have a really hard phone call.

So there's like...

A bunch of beautiful prayers.

There's prayer within families, prayer within extended families, at celebrations, at parties.

The book Every Moment Holy, those liturgical books, they're wonderful.

They're so good and help us to pray as well in lots of different moments of life.

And then we have Gospel Communities and DNAs where prayer for one another takes place on the regular.

A cup of coffee doesn't have to just be a cup of coffee.

If you're a reader, there's a liturgy book called Every Moment Holy, and there's a liturgy in Every Moment Holy that is a liturgy for your first cup of coffee in the morning.

And the liturgy goes into, Lord, just as this coffee is about to resurrect my senses, will you remind me there's a greater resurrection to come? Every night you rehearse death, don't you? You lay down, you go to sleep, you are unconscious.

I mean, the whole thing is a rehearsal of death.

Perhaps nowhere though has Pete's particular combination of literary taste, artistic ambition, and entrepreneurial nerve been more on display than at Rabbit Room Press.

The press has built a reputation for publishing both beautiful and critically acclaimed books, distinctive books that don't fit neatly into conventional categories, including, for example, the Every Moment Holy series, which have now sold more than 100,000 copies.

And in 2026, it struck publishing gold with British poet and priest Malcolm Geitz, Galahad, and The Grail.

The book became Rabbit Room Press's biggest launch ever, reaching the top 50 of Amazon's overall books chart, selling out at Amazon, and later winning the 2026 Parnassus Prize, which is one of the poetry world's most coveted prizes.

because people aren't sure what to do with them.

And most of what Rabbit Room Press publishes fits that mold.

So for instance, you know, one of our other best-selling titles is Every Moment Holy, which a lot of people have heard about now.

But back in 2016, when Doug was pitching that, this idea of publishing liturgies for changing diapers was something nobody had ever heard of and nobody knew what to do with it.

I sort of tell the story of it and do some readings from a book called Every Moment Holy, um, volume two, which is a phenomenal book of liturgies about grief and hope.

And, and sometimes it, to me, it feels really uncomfortable, you know, partway through the show, just like, "Okay, this is heavy.

I'm feeling the weight of this." But, but invariably after the show, I invite people just to come chat, share their stories, um, or write things down in a little book that I have.

It talks about what we cannot control.

So this is coming from a book called Every Moment Holy.

Somebody sent me a liturgy for special needs parents out of this book, and it really touched me.

And so I ordered the book and a liturgy is essentially lap.
