And I suddenly had a epiphany when I discovered Barbara McClintock, Lynn Margulis, James Shapiro, Conrad Waddington, Evelyn Witkin.

It took about two years to get there, but all of a sudden I discovered an enormous vein of literature that was very well documented that shows that organisms cut, splice, rearrange, re-engineer their DNA, respond to hostile situations at enormous speed, do merger acquisitions in real time, hours, not millions of years.

And I was like, why isn't anybody talking about this? And so I ended up writing a book called Evolution 2.0, which came out in 2015.
