Evelyn Farkas

The latest twist in Trump's relationship with Putin also imperils the whole continent of Europe, which is also facing Russian hybrid warfare.

And I spoke to Evelyn Farkas about this.

She's the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, and she joined me from Germany.

Evelyn Farkas, welcome.

We've talked about this a long time and over many, many years of this war.

What do you think is actually the U.S. plan, first and foremost? Why is this happening coming from the White House?

So they're trying to salvage the situation and it appears that President Trump has been somehow brought into salvaging Russia's position, which is the incredibly alarming situation.

And I hope that Congress and the American people will speak because we know that they don't agree based on legislation and polling with the president's seemingly new approach to Russia.

But less than an hour ago, the president appeared to throw cold water on that reporting, posting that the US is having productive discussions with Iran, and that he won't attack Iran at any time prior to the midterms.

With the lives and well-being of US troops on the line, I wanna bring in MSNBC Pentagon reporter, Priya Shriather, in Coronado, California, MSNBC military analyst, retired US Army Lieutenant General Mark Hertling, former senior advisor to the Supreme Allied Commander Europe and top DOD official, Evelyn Farkas, and retired Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Amy McGrath.

She is the founder of the Democratic Majority Action Pac.

All right.

That ad is one of 24 ads Obama's office says he filmed for Senate and gubernatorial candidates so far.

Joining us now, senior advisor to the James Talarico campaign and co-host of the Latino Vote podcast, Chuck Rocha.

Dan Kaninen and Evelyn Farkas are with us.

Hi, Dan.

William Schaffner.

And Evelyn Farkas is the executive director of the McCain Institute and former deputy assistant secretary of defense for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia.

She visited one of those secret bio labs in Russia.

I appreciate you both for being here.

So the world also needs to be reassured that the protocols that are in place, you know, whatever failure there was, will be rectified.

Yeah, for sure.

Evelyn Farkas, really, really appreciate you coming on.

Dr. Schaffner, thank you, sir.

In every one of those cases, they're just unambiguous about the facts, right? Which is when you look at any chart and you look at where you saw the surge in prices for gas, dies- diesel, and all of energy prices, of course, it started on February 28th.

Evelyn Farkas and Jim Sciutto are OutFront with me now.

Jim, you're at the UN.

You have been talking to sources and diplomats there throughout the day.
