Uh, my family, we also had a camp over at Dewey Wills Wildlife Management Area, which is right there next to Catahoula Lake.
Jacob RobreHOST
6:54
Uh, so I did grow up making trips out to Catahoula Lake as well.
Jacob RobreHOST
11:29
I don't hunt it, uh, as often nowadays as I did whenever I, uh, I came up as a kid and when we had our camp at Dewey Wills.
Jacob RobreHOST
11:38
During those years, I used to make more trips to Catahoula just simply because, um, you know, I was in that area a lot more.
Jacob RobreHOST
11:44
Now I live in southeast Louisiana, and it's, it's more of a haul for me to go, even though my new camp I got, it's not too far from there, uh, which is part of why I got a new camp in where I'm at in the central part of the state, because I could hunt WMAs right around Evangeline Parish, uh, I could hunt- Dewey Weals, I could hunt Catahoula, and I'm all within about 20 to 30 minutes driving distance of each one of those areas, um, that I could make hunts wherever I wanna go and try out different wildlife management areas.
Jacob RobreHOST

Jacob RobreHOST

You know, for me, before the ducks, before the private land battling for waterfowl, for ducks on it, the leases, before any of that.
Jacob RobreHOST
7:36
It was just me and my shotgun and my squirrel vest and woods behind my house growing up in the country in Evangeline Parish.
Jacob RobreHOST
7:43
That's where I cut my teeth on learning my way around the woods, learning how to navigate, learning how to stalk my prey, learning how to stalk my prey in order to be able to put food on the table.
Jacob RobreHOST
7:57
And as I got older, I continued to evolve as a hunter.
Jacob RobreHOST

Learned how to hunt on my own once I got old enough to do it without my dad.
