Eva Hudson

We're learning.

But, um, it's not your typical lineup that is playing in this Final Six tournament, um, which is why I wanted to bring it up, because some of your favorite college players are currently playing, including, um, Jess Merzek, Natalie Foster, Eva Hudson, Rachel Fairbanks, Elena Scott, Sammy Francis.

Like, there's a lot of awesome players who just graduated who are playing in this tournament right now.

As we're recording this, we're, you know, w- we're recording this on Tuesday, so they will have already played Cuba at this point, but then their schedule is gonna be Wednesday, September 23rd against the Dominican Republic at 7:00 PM Eastern.

That, to me, is a really good indication that that player is seeing the block or at least seeing what's in front of them.

So in recent seasons, two players that come to mind for me that it was very consistent was Jess Merzek in 2024 and Eva Hudson in 2025.

They were consistently making swings that were clipping fingertips or clipping the side of the hand.

Those two for me, like, that is on purpose.

She definitely needs to take another step for them to be a contender.

But I think this is v- very, the first couple weeks have made it very clear how huge Eva Hudson was for that team.

Absolutely, without question.

My, my biggest takeaway from these first two weeks is you either have a setter or you have no setter.

Well, I don't think they have the high-end talent of some of the other teams, and I don't think they're as consistent as the other teams without high-end talent.
