Wow.

So the thing is to, uh, to get to play a guy who has these complicated emotional relationships with my daughter, Elle Fanning, and, and my, and, uh, my daughter's mother, played by Michelle Pfeiffer Uh, my former fling, um, is, is daunting and, uh, quite thrilling to get to, you know, to, to the writing of David E. Kelley and Eva Anderson and their support staff.

I heard you call the part, uh, right before the show came out, quote, "A terrifying act that I spend all night thinking, good God, are they going to get it, or am I going to die a frustrated artist?" Is that really what it felt like?

That there may be a touch of hyperbole just because I, I generally don't feel a lot of fear, thankfully.
