I had a lovely time from what I remember.
Alex GoyGUEST

We ended up in a really seedy club, uh, dancing to terrible Europop.
Alex GoyGUEST

It was great.

Then they went into a more American blues, R&B and gospel influenced phase.
MattHOST
2:08
They then moved into a more Europop and industrial and dance influenced time in the 90s.
MattHOST
2:14
And then I would say more of a kind of straightforward alternative rock sound in the 2000s.
MattHOST

but their core sound despite all of that is unmistakable and it's a very impressive body of work illustrated most notably by their 22 grammy awards which is more than any other group in the history of music i guess i've always been a strong casual fan i would say not a full convert not a super fan by any stretch but very familiar with their work i own many of their albums i've seen them live a few times So not a top tier band for me, but I do think they are a great band and worthy of a lot of respect nonetheless.

And what you're getting now is this more dance inspired, you know, and, and sort of lush and, and synthesized.
Tim MalcolmHOST
87:08
Sophista pop and dance pop and Euro pop and, and that kind of stuff is really starting to take hold.

Or I guess Euro dance in the, in the late eighties and, energy higher energy and um the stocking and waterman and all that and new jack swing over in you know the r&b world so yeah it's all kind of moving that way um so it's it is interesting to kind of get like all kinds of flavors happening at this very time um and songs that are you know commenting on what's happening in the world, but also not, you know, in some ways and, and also just kind of being part of the world.
Tim MalcolmHOST
87:46
Um, so it's a really interesting time in music and, and in the world, uh, here in 86, but we are glad that you have come with us on this journey.

that I felt I do think that I have especially as like a young person I had a real like Euro trash sensibility I liked that Euro trash vibe and I felt like NSYNC was much more of a clear European style pop group than Backstreet Boys who were more based in like 90s R&B crooner vibes like boys to men vibes where NSYNC was like assless cowboy chaps glitter vests.
Troy McEadyHOST
13:52
Like, they were, like, pure Europop.
Dara LaineHOST
13:55
If you were to throw on an NSYNC album, like, I would get into it.
Dara LaineHOST
13:59
I definitely would.
Nicole RaposoHOST
41:40
The final grade for the album was a B, with the reviewer stating that Celebrity may be the consummate teen pop experience.
Nicole RaposoHOST
41:47
It has the R&B swipes, the ballads, the grasps at artistic self-expression, and the requisite Europop.
Nicole RaposoHOST
41:54
On it, NSYNC are both puppets and puppet masters.
Nicole RaposoHOST
41:57
Even if it all crumbles, they'll go down swinging.
