I'm working, well, former European Commissioner at WTO.

And thank you very much for this very interesting panel.

And I had a question, well, mainly to Sabine, but also to all, of course, whether you could expand on the requirements for interoperability.

Okay, and into the organic section this week.

First up, the European Commissioners' measures and criteria for requirements for a different element over in the EU about allowing Google for others to access their data set has come to fruition.

This is an article over on Search Engine Watch that sort of recapped the formal Google report the form of Google Proceedings or whatever they had put out there, and it was from Raidu Tarashna.

And basically, the program requires, under the EU's Digital Markets Act, which is the same act that they are rolling out the degradation of search, they have to give access to some data if a competitor is eligible and you have to be eligible by having at least 50 000 monthly eu users during the previous year they have to offer search services in eu for two years or be less than two years old with more than a 50 million pound investment and then the licensing agreements to google's data will start on september 17th and data samples will be available from november 16th so Competitors will receive the URLs shown in search results, their positions, and details about how users interacted with them, including clicks, returns to the results page, hovering, scrolling, swiping, and viewing duration, which is crazy.

Because, look, if we had the relationship between Paschal Donohoe and Michael McGrath, which was exceptionally strong, they were definitely singing off the same hymn sheet.

Then Michael McGrath went off to be the European Commissioner and was replaced by Jack Chambers, who had to develop the relationship with Paschal Donohoe, but I think they did it.

Mm.

It was a very strong relationship as well.

But in this new age of defence spending, which has relegated climate change in terms of importance in many countries, what does Europe need to do to boost growth without costing the earth? Jessica Roswell is the EU Commissioner for the Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy.

And I began by asking her whether the circular economy might end up giving non-European companies an advantage because they won't have these new rules.

I would disagree with that question because we all see that dependency costs a lot of money and costs a lot of uncertainty.

I mean, we are, absolutely, that is a little bit on how we live, and that's a little bit what I was trying to say, that we need to change the mindset on how we consume.

But I think that we always will need new clothes, for example, because they get, especially if you are kids, you know, they grow and they destroy, but I think, so this will always be a demand for new things, and that is not always, that is also a good thing, because it creates jobs and creates growth, so We need to have two minds at the same time.
